Spirits are the basis of magic in Rhime. They are semi-sentient ‘packets’ of various types of energy that float through the Aether, and can be pulled to the physical world by a Magus. When Spirits aren’t held in the physical world by a Magus they will return to the Aether, and in doing so create an effect, based on their energy type and the method in which they were released. A Spirit can also be bound to a an Item or a Golom which will cause it to slowly ‘bleed’ back into the Aether, which will create a prolonged, weakened effect. In the case of a Golom the Spirit will also manifest a conciousness that can be bound to the will of a powerfull enough Mantzer.
